NAIDOC Week Celebration Wrap-Up

Published on Thursday, 17 July 2025 at 1:51:00 PM

What a fantastic morning we had celebrating NAIDOC Week at the CRC! The event brought our community together to honour culture, share stories, and enjoy some wonderful hands-on experiences.

NAIDOC Week is a time to recognise and celebrate the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, the world’s oldest continuing culture. It’s an opportunity for all Australians to come together, learn, and pay respect to the strength, resilience, and rich traditions that have been carried forward for tens of thousands of years.

A huge thank you to Tracey De Grussa, Naomi Booth, Dulcie Ryder and our dedicated CRC team for putting together such a meaningful event. From the moving Welcome to Country and smoking ceremony, to the tasty native tasters, ochre painting, and basket weaving workshop, it was a day full of connection and reflection.

Thanks to everyone who came along and joined us in celebrating NAIDOC Week 2025.
