To protect the privacy of subscribers to any of the above-mentioned services, Council has adopted a Privacy of Personal Information Policy which is available to view in Council's Policy Manual.  We also encourage all residents to inform us of a change in their contact details, either by using this form, calling 9671 2500, via email shire@wongan.wa.gov.au or by visiting us in person to make sure we are keeping you updated with important information.

Collection Notice

The Shire of Wongan-Ballidu is committed to protecting your privacy.

The personal information you provide in this Keep Me Posted Form is collected for the purpose of registering and administering your subscription to the Shire's SMS notification service, updating your contact details where requested, communicating important information relevant to your selected notification preferences, and meeting the Shire's legal and administrative obligations. This information is collected under the Local Government Act 1995 (WA) and any other applicable legislation.

Your personal information will only be used or disclosed for the purpose for which it was collected, or where authorised or required by law. The Shire may share your information with government agencies or service providers where necessary to deliver the SMS notification service or fulfil its statutory obligations.

Providing the requested information is voluntary; however, if sufficient information is not provided, the Shire may be unable to register your subscription, update your contact details, or provide SMS notifications.

You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information held by the Shire by contacting the Shire.
