Application Process

To host an event in the Shire of Wongan-Ballidu, you will need to complete an Event Application Form. This ensures your event meets local safety, planning, and environmental requirements.

Applications must be submitted at least 4 weeks prior to the event date. Depending on the size and nature of your event, additional permits or supporting documents may be required (e.g. risk management plan, traffic management, or proof of insurance).

Please note that completion of the application form does not automatically imply approval.

If successful, you will be notified in writing that your event has received approval from the Shire of Wongan-Ballidu.

Venue and Transport Options

The Shire of Wongan-Ballidu offers a range of hire options to support community events, including venues for gatherings of all sizes and transport for group travel. Whether you're planning a local meeting or a large celebration, we have facilities to help make your event a success.

Wongan Hills Civic Centre
Located in Parker Place, this large venue accommodates up to 300 people and includes a hall, stage, bar area, kitchen, servery, toilets, and foyer. It is suitable for formal functions, performances, and large dinners.

Facility Hire

Function Room – Wongan Hills CRC ('The Station')
Situated on Wongan Road, this function room and kitchen are available for hire through the Community Resource Centre. Ideal for meetings, conferences, parties, and community gatherings at an affordable rate.

Community Bus Hire
The Community Bus seats up to 20 passengers (excluding the driver), while the CTV Bus seats up to 10. Both are available for hire by community groups and approved users.
