Supporting Our Community, Together

The Shire of Wongan-Ballidu is proud to work in partnership with our vibrant local community. One of the key ways we do this is through our annual Community Development Fund (CDF) – a grant program designed to support local groups and organisations that make a difference.

Each year, Council provides funding to initiatives that:

  • ✅ Align with the priorities and vision in the Strategic Community Plan

  • ✅ Strengthen community life and encourage greater participation

  • ✅ Deliver lasting benefits to the local community

  • ✅ Contribute to our region’s social, cultural, environmental, and economic wellbeing

What Does the Fund Support?

The CDF helps bring community-led ideas to life, including:

  • Local events and festivals

  • Community group projects

  • Facility upgrades and improvements

  • Programs that increase access, participation and inclusion

Whether you’re hosting a cultural celebration, upgrading club facilities, or launching a new initiative, the CDF may be able to help.

Application Timeline

  • Applications Open: July each year

  • Funding Announcements: Following the August Council Meeting
