You are also required to update information with the Australian Animal Registry, Pet Chip Registry or relevant microchip supplier database where your pet was initially registered when the microchip was implanted.
What else do I need to know?
All dog owners must:
1. Attach the registration tag and dog’s identification tag to their collar and ensure the dog is wearing the tags at all times.
2. Keep the dog secure and don’t allow the animal to wander. Appropriate fencing for the size of the animal must be provided. It is an offence to tether a dog and fines apply.
