We are delighted to welcome Danell as the Senior Finance Officer at the Shire of Wongan-Ballidu.
Danell brings a wealth of experience in local government, having previously worked with the City of Bunbury. With strong connections to the Wheatbelt, she was eager to return to her roots. Growing up on Newdale Farm in New Norcia, Danell was surrounded by community spirit and the farming lifestyle. Many locals may fondly remember her parents, Archie and Krys, who were active members of numerous community committees and sporting clubs throughout the region.
Danell has recently moved back with her partner and their two sons, seeking a quieter lifestyle, closer connection to the land, and the opportunity to re-engage with community life. She is already making her mark, taking on the role of Treasurer for the Wongan Hills Swimming Club, looking forward to the pool’s reopening, and hoping to join in the upcoming Beach Volleyball season.
Outside of work, Danell enjoys time outdoors and the water, anything from tending to her garden at their new home, exploring local walking trails to view the amazing wildflowers or making the most of trips to the coast whenever possible.
We are thrilled to have Danell on board and look forward to the valuable contribution she will bring to the Shire and the wider community.
