Supervise Sam for the Day is a new initiative in which our CEO will be undertaking to spend quality time on the ground with all of the different teams and roles we have in the Shire, who are responsible for delivering a large range of services to our community. The idea is to gain a hands-on understanding of what their day to day looks like, and discuss any suggestions they may have to improve service delivery.
Ultimately, the community benefits from this initiative as well, as it provides a fantastic opportunity to review feedback about our services, and spending time with staff delivering these services allows us to assess the feasibility of suggestions that have been made. In a world where money doesn’t grow on trees, delivering services more efficiently and increasing productivity is how we can ensure our residents and ratepayers are getting best value for money.
Our first cab off the rank is the Wongan Hills Swimming Pool, where Sam has recently spent a session with Trevor learning all things swimming pools.
