The Shire of Wongan-Ballidu is raising awareness about two serious problems—Caltrop Weed and the Polyphagous Shot-Hole Borer (PSHB)—and how you can help prevent their spread.
Fact sheets for both issues are now available on our website and from the Shire’s Customer Service Centre. They contain helpful info on what to look out for, how to reduce the spread and how to report or control these pests.
REMEMBER: DON’T MOVE FIREWOOD!
PSHB doesn’t travel far on its own, but it can be easily transported in contaminated firewood. One of the biggest risks is people unknowingly moving infected wood when they go camping. The best rule? Buy firewood where you burn it.
