NEW SHELTER FOR WILDFLOWER WALK

Published on Monday, 16 June 2025 at 3:44:00 PM

Council has endorsed the construction of a brand-new shelter at the start of the popular Wongan Wildflower Walk on Quinlan Street, Wongan Hills!

Led by the passionate Wongan Hills Tourism Group, this initiative will create a welcoming entry statement to the trail, enhancing the experience for both locals and visitors. The shelter will be similar in design to the one at Christmas Rock and will recognise the contributions of the late Ian Smith, whose work helped establish many of our local walk trails.

Pet-friendly and easy to access, the Wildflower Walk is a short, scenic loop through natural bushland, the perfect outing year-round.

A big thank you to the Tourism Group for continuing to enrich our community’s natural spaces. We can’t wait to see this project come to life!
