The Shire of Wongan–Ballidu has introduced a new Event Application Process for all public events held on Shire-owned land or property.
If your community group is planning an event, big or small, on Shire land, buildings, parks or open spaces, you will now need to complete an Event Application Form. Applications should be submitted at least 4 weeks before your event.
This new process helps us:
✔️ Streamline event enquiries
✔️ Coordinate road closures, bins and logistics
✔️ Improve internal approvals
✔️ Ensure insurance and safety requirements are met
✔️ Support community groups to run safe and successful events
🏟 Exemptions:
Events held inside sports facilities managed by independent sports councils are not included. Bookings for those venues should continue to go through the relevant sports council.
