The Shire of Wongan-Ballidu has an excellent opportunity for two (2) highly motivated individuals to fill the part-time (17 hours per week) roles of Waste Facility Operator.
Note: The Shire is seeking to employ two (2) operators, in a job-share arrangement whereby each operator would work 17 hours per week at different times of the week. If in the instance there is less than two suitable applicants, the Shire will negotiate with an individual, the opportunity to work the full 34-hour week as a sole operator.
This position reports to the Manager Regulatory Services. Primary duties include day-to-day operations of the Wongan Hills Waste Facility (WHWF), ensuring all waste materials are disposed of correctly and that the facility is kept to a high-level standard of safety for the public and contractors. The mulching of green waste is to be undertaken on a regular basis.
Conditions of Employment are in accordance with the Local Government Industry Award 2020 Level 4 with a cash salary of $87,301 per annum, based on 34 hours per week (depending on qualifications and experience), plus up to 15% superannuation.
