WONGAN HILLS AIRPORT UPGRADES
Work began today on preparing the airstrip and adjacent areas ahead of pouring the asphalt which is planned for the 10th and 11th of February.
Its an exciting day for everyone who uses this facility as the upgrades will not only make the airstrip much safer, the additions to the existing infrastructure will provide enhanced facilities and convenience. A shout-out to the Shire's construction crew - Kim Thornton and his team are making great progress already.
Works supervisor Stephen Casey has advised that work will be carried out to cause as little disruption as possible.
