TV Channel Upgrade – What it means for you
Shire of Wongan-Ballidu advises that new TV channels will be added during the next maintenance visit to the digital TV retransmission site. This maintenance visit is scheduled for the week of 27 February to 3 March 2017. At the same time, the video format for the some of the commercial TV channels will be upgraded to Mpeg4 (current video format Mpeg2).

The Minister has announced that the Wongan Hills Health Service is set for significant refurbishment in 2017.
Refurbishment will include a new ambulance bay canopy, a refurbished waiting area and disabled access toilet, a new telehealth enabled multipurpose consulting room, and a new toilet and shower with trolley access in the acute care area. The current kitchen area will be redeveloped and security will be improved throughout the building.

The Liberal National Government has announced that the Northam-Pithara Road will receive essential upgrades thanks to an $18.41 million investment through Royalties for Regions. These funds will supplement a $4.05 million allocation that was announced earlier this year under the Commonwealth's Heavy Vehicle Safety and Productivity Programme.
