Disability Access Inclusion Plan

The WA Disability Services Act 1993 requires each local government to have a Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP). DAIPs provide a means of ensuring people with disabilities have the same opportunities as other people to access services, community events, buildings and facilities, information, consultative and complaint resolution processes.

A more accessible and inclusive Shire

Disability Access and Inclusion Plan (DAIP) 2020-2025

The Shire’s interpretation of being an accessible and inclusive community is ensuring that all Council functions, facilities and services (both in-house and contracted), are open, available and accessible to people with disability, providing them with the same opportunities, rights and responsibilities as other people in the community.

The Shire of Wongan-Ballidu acknowledges the input received from individuals and groups within the community, which has been of assistance in the preparation of the Shire’s Disability Access Inclusion Plan for 2020-2025 (DAIP). The Shire’s DAIP will assist us to continue to strive towards improving access and inclusion for people with disability, their families and carers.

If you have any enquiries or would like to provide feedback regarding the Shire’s DAIP, please contact the Shire on (08) 9671 2500 or via email at shire@wongan.wa.gov.au
